Baseball Year End Recognition
With the conclusion of the baseball
season yielding a second place finish and a record
ten wins in District play, it is no surprise that
J.J. Pearce was well represented for individual
recognition. Leading the Mustangs was Jake Williams
(Sr.) who earned third team All-State and first team
All-District at first base. Also sharing first team
All-District honors were Brent Powers (Sr.) and
Matthew Faukner (Jr.). Second team All-District
recognition was earned by BJ Miller (Jr.) and
Michael Koval (Jr.).
The competition for these
All-District awards was intense and validates the
talent in District 10-4A is the best the state has
to offer. The District champions made it to the
state title game only to lose in the championship.
District 10-4A had two teams amongst the top eight
in the state and consistently had four teams ranked
in the top ten in the metroplex.
Annual awards presented at the year
end banquet for team recognition were:
-
Golden Glove: Doug
Williams
-
Golden Arm: Brent
Powers
-
Most Improved:
Matthew Faukner
-
Big Stick: Jake
Williams
-
Fighting Mustang
Award: Taylor Randanzo

2007 Mustang Mum Store
in officially underway!
Come be a part of the fun!
The Mustang Mum Store is the place to be this summer and
fall. Keeping the costs down for all students by
providing a high quality mum, garter or friendship mum
for Homecoming is the goal of this community project.
The mum store has become much more than a fund raiser
for Pearce High School. It has become a community
networking center. But the center can only work if we
have many volunteers working together for a common
goal.
Have fun, be
creative and meet new people. If you can cut
with scissors, staple and follow directions, the J.J.
Pearce PTA Mum Store needs your help! You will get a
head start on meeting new Pearce friends, help create a
lasting memento for your student's Homecoming experience
and new this year, help earn money for your booster
club!
There will be a series of summer workshop
opportunities to begin assembly of the mums and
garters. Get on the email list by sending
an email to:mustangmumstore@gmail.com.
Dates are to be determined, but make sure you are
on the email list to receive updates. There will be
daytime and evening (even weekend!) opportunities in the
summer and after school starts.
Our store will be located on the southeast corner of
Coit and Campbell Road (near Richardson Bike Mart).
We'll see you at the Mum Store!
