Newcomers Reception has been MOVED. The
new date is Monday, August 27, 2007 from 6 to 7
p.m. located in the library. This is for all new
students and parents to the RISD District.
National Honor
Society “GROUP PROJECT” OPPORTUNITY
NHS Members will have an opportunity to
earn volunteer hours by helping set up for the Annual
Kick-off Cookout on Wednesday, August 29
at 6:00 p.m. Help is needed after school on that date.

mock trial team looking for
participants
If you are interested in
arguing or if you want to do some acting, come join us
in Mock Trial. Our recruitment meeting is
tentatively set for the Wednesday, Sept, 5th in the
morning (8:30) and afternoon (4:30) to allow all
students an opportunity to make it. Our first official
meeting will be scheduled for the following week at 7:00
pm. Coach Dowlatshahi will discuss the best day
for practice with returning members at the recruitment
meeting. Listen to the announcements beginning on
August 29th to confirm times and location of

Club Kick-off Cookout
The entire Pearce community is invited to "Kick
off" the new school year with a hot dog cookout on
Wednesday, August 29th from 6:00-8:00 at Pearce on
Senior Way. This is your chance to meet the
Football and Volleyball teams and see performances
by Pearce's award winning Cheerleaders, Pacesetters,
Band, Forte AND our newest spirit group - The Mustang
Stampede, a country-western dance group. And for
even more fun, The WOLF 99.5 will have a live
remote from our cookout.
Pearce Spiritwear, including new
T-shirts, Hoodies, Flip Flops and Women's and Men's
Polos will be on sale. You can also purchase your
Mustang Varsity Football season tickets. Everyone
come out and enjoy!

Change in Girls Golf Parents/Players Meeting time and location
Parent/Players Meeting for Pearce Girls Golf will be Tuesday August 28th in the conference room next to Coach Robertson's office; time at 7 p.m.
Parents and players are urged to attend. The girls will not meet for golf until after the parents' meeting; our first golf meeting will be at Canyon
Creek Country Club on Wednesday, August 29th until 4:45 p.m.; starting at 3:45. Players will need to bring only a putter and golf ball to the first
practice.
All players have to have a physical and other forms on file with the trainer. Anyone without a physical should get one, ASAP.
