This year's Theatre
III/IV class will be kicking off the
season with the hilarious comedy
Love, Lies and the IRS.
When Jon Tractman
(Clark Jones) realizes he can save a
lot of money each year in taxes by filing a
joint tax return, he conveniently changes
his roommate Leslie
(Brett Thiele) from a man to a woman.
Unfortunately, the IRS has become suspicious
when they realize four years ago Leslie was
a Male. They send IRS
auditor Floyd Spinner (Steven
Miller) to investigate and Leslie is
forced to masquerade as a woman with the
aide of Jon's fiancé
(Marisa Huber). The story
becomes even crazier when Jon's
mother (Taylor Daniel) shows
up to help plan a wedding and finds out he
is already married. The show promises to be
a laugh filled evening.
Also in the cast
are Jay Moran, Anna Dirkx and
Brendan Williams.
Assistant directors are Michelle
McCoy and Chandler Reeves. Please
join us for this very funny audit in the
Black Box Theatre
on Oct. 2, 4 at 7:30 or Oct. 5 at 2PM.

No. 4 Pearce evened its record in district action to
1-1 by swatting the Yellow Jackets of Rockwall 19-0
last Tuesday and then proceeded to jump one place in
the UIL State Rankings to No. 4. That gives
District 8-4A, 2 of the top 4 teams in the state and
lays claim to the toughest 4A tennis district. The
Mustangs, 8-2 on the season, have 3 more district
matches left, Heath, Greenville, and Newman Smith,
until the playoff season begins.

Cross Country
Last week the Cross Country ran the Lake
Highlands Meet at Norbuck Park. Megan Siebert came in
3rd overall for the Varsity Girls. Her time was 12:20!
All the runners are showing great improvement which is
important as the team comes closer to the district meet.
This year the CC team is being lead by
captains Allison Kirkland, Victoria Smith, Madison
Noland, Drew Cotton and Megan Siebert. The overall
commitment of each runner on the team to be at practice
each morning at 6:30 and run every weekend is a great
example of a true winning spirit.
